Caprice bought the rights to Debbie Does Dallas The Musical during 2006. This is the first time she is producing a hit musical production. Caprice also stars as Lisa.

Real Theatre is an off-shoot of Roddy Quin’s company Real Concerts (Pty) Ltd, based in Johannesburg.
Over the years, Real Concerts has been responsible in South Africa for bringing in top international acts as well as Nelson Mandela 46664 concerts featuring Queen, Peter Gabriel, Beyonce, Bob Geldof, Eurythmics and many others, as well as comedians Bill Cosby and Steven Wright.
Real Theatre has been and is associated with The Johannesburg Civic Theatre in the presentations of The Shaolin Monks – Wheel of Life (February 2005), Red – The Indian Dance Spectacular (August 2006), Thoroughly Modern Millie and Ben Elton’s Popcorn (June 2007).
BERNARD JAY
Producer
Bernard’s career experience as general manager, associate producer or producer of stage productions includes over forty pantomimes throughout Britain in the ‘70s for Triumph Theatre Productions and Paul Elliott Entertainments.
Also: Richard Gere and Elaine Paige in Grease; Sir Michael Redgrave in Shakespeare’s People; Douglas Fairbanks Jr in The Pleasure of his Company; Glenda Jackson and The Royal Shakespeare Company in Hedda Gabler; Rock Hudson and Juliet Prowse in I do! I do!; Roy Dotrice in Brief Lives; Lee Remick in Bus Stop; Louis Jordan and Glynnis Johns in 13 Rue de L’Amour; and the musical revue Let my People Come.
In South Africa: Jason Donovan in The Fantasticks; Steve Hofmeyr in Summer Holiday; Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance; The Magic of David Copperfield; Operama’s production of Verdi’s AÏDA at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria; and the pantomimes Sleeping Beauty, Jack and The Beanstalk, Cinderella, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and Aladdin at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
Bernard has held the position of Chief Executive Officer at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre since July 2000.
SIMON JAMES
Associate Producer
Simon started his theatrical career whilst still at school, working on amateur and touring professional productions. Since going professional at the former CAPAB, he has worked for almost all of the independent producers in South Africa and most of the erstwhile Performing Arts Councils. He also worked in the USA and Europe and has extensive experience in the corporate theatre market. Simon is the Technical Officer at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
CLAIRE PACARIZ
Associate Producer
Claire holds a National Diploma in Public Relations Management and began her career in a PR consultancy, later joining the Emerald Casino Resort in 1998. After five years, a change was due and Claire ventured into theatre. She was appointed Production Assistant at The Johannesburg Civic Theatre in 2003 and has since taken on the position of Planning Officer on the theatre’s executive management team.
